The Reavis High School Guidance Department is hosting a Senior Parent Night on Wednesday, September 26th from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Library.  We believe that this program will help families understand the college application process and financial opportunities that are available for students who seek a postsecondary education.

Attendance Matters:

STUDENTS

Coming to school  every day is a skill that you are developing that will help you succeed in class and with getting and keeping a job later on.

If you think missing a day here or there won’t matter, think again! By missing just one day every two weeks, you would be on track to miss two full weeks in a semester or nearly a month of school for the year!

Did you know that a student who misses 10 days or more during a school year is less likely to graduate from high school and or ever enroll in college?

QuestBridge College Prep Scholars

Congratulations to juniors Jorge Casas Melchor, Zak Sadoun and Allan Vo, who were selected into the QuestBridge College Prep Scholars Program.  They are among a select group of over 11,000 students nationwide who applied to this rigorous program for high-achieving high school juniors, and have been identified as outstanding candidates to the nation’s top colleges. They will be attending the QuestBridge National College Admissions Conference at Rice University in Houston, TX this weekend.  Congratulations gentlemen!

Congratulations

Congratulations to Senior A. Gal on winning the IHSA Sectional Title in the Shot Put! Aneta will be competing at the IHSA State tournament this weekend at Eastern Illinois! Congrats also to her coaches, Head Coach Schoenfeld and Assistant Coaches Lauer, Glynn, & Kreil. Coach Kreil has had quite a streak of sending down track athletes in shot and discuss and he deserves a lot of credit for making it happen again in 2018!  Way to go Aneta and all the coaches!
Good Luck this weekend!
