Social Studies

“The best way to predict the future is to create it.”

                                                              --Abraham Lincoln

The Reavis High School Social Studies Department seeks to extend social understanding and civic awareness to each student. All students must take U.S. History or American Studies, Economics, and Government in order to graduate.  Each of these offers fundamental knowledge and skills applicable to life beyond high school by helping students understand the connection between the influences of the past, the realities of today, and the possibilities of tomorrow.  Additionally, there are many interesting elective courses students can take to enrich their knowledge of past and present societies.
