Membership in the National Honor Society (NHS) is based upon scholarship, leadership, service and good character. To be considered for membership, students must have a minimum academic average of 3.5, which must be maintained for continued membership. NHS’ national constitution details further membership requirements. Students are selected by a faculty council. Each year the NHS presents an award to a junior and senior who have given the most service to NHS. Students who violate school or NHS rules may be dismissed from the organization.
