Fall Sports Awards

The annual Fall Sports Awards will be held Wednesday, November 9th @ 7pm in the Grossman Auditorium. We will honor all of our Fall athletes and teams including Varsity Tennis (Conference Champs 7th consecutive year), Girls Varsity Swim (3rd straight Varsity SSC RED Championship and 4th straight JV SSC RED Championship), Boys Varsity Soccer (Regional Champs 2nd consecutive year), Varsity Football (State Qualifiers 3 years in a row)!

Senior Breakfast

Attention Seniors:  Don’t miss out on a fun Senior event!!!  The Senior Breakfast is Tuesday November 22, 2016 on The Odyssey Cruise Ship at Navy Pier.  Tickets will be on sale in the cafeteria 11/7 through 11/11 they are $40.00 a person. You must have a completed permission form to purchase a ticket.  The permission forms are located in the Special Programs Office.  If you have any questions please see Mrs. Annel or Mrs. Jooste

Big The Musical

"COME IN COME IN FOR THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE. WE PROMISE YOU THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE!"

Performances are Thursday - Saturday (11/3 - 11/5) @ 7pm. Ticket prices are $5 for students, $8 for Adults and Senior Citizens are free! Tickets are available at the Grossman auditorium on the days of the shows. All seating is general admission and doors open at 6:30pm.

Boys Cross Country

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Running Rams for making it to The IHSA Sectional Meet next Saturday.  The boys had an awesome race this past Saturday at Regionals.  Senior, J. Behling, ran to a 5th place finish being named All Regional.  He ran for a personal record with a time of 15:30.  Most boys on the varsity team ran for a personal record ensuring the team beat Oak Lawn, Eisenhower and Thornton to make it out of Regionals.  Running for the varsity team was F. Leyva with a time of 16:20, R. Zieba – 16:55, R. Silva – 17:17, H. Lopez – 17:27, K. Juchas – 17:38, and R. Munoz – 17:55.

Reavis Varsity Boys' Soccer

Congratulations to Coach Morack & the Boys Soccer team on winning the IHSA Regional Championship this past Saturday.  The team defeated Andrew High School to capture their 2nd consecutive Regional title and their 3rd in the last 5 years.
 
​​With the win, the team advances to the IHSA Sectional Semi-final to face #1 seed Bradley Bourbonnais.  The game is scheduled for Tuesday, October 25, at 5:00PM, and is being played at Lincoln Way Central High School.

Red Ribbon Week

The Mission of RRW is to bring awareness and attention to the abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, as well as creating a safe and drug-free school and community.

DAILY ACTIVITIES

Monday– Stay in the Game and be drug free.  Come to school wearing your favorite team!  
        Competition: POSTER DESIGN

  Tuesday – Peace out to Drugs. Come to school wearing TIE-DYE or 70’s attire

Save a Life!


Save a life! Give Blood! Attention all students and staff, Reavis High School will be hosting a Blood Drive on Thursday, October 20th from 7:30 a.m. until 3:05 p.m., IN THE MAIN GYM.  You must be 17 or older (16 with parental permission), at least 110 lb., in good health, and have a photo ID. Students will be receiving further information in their PE, Health or Drivers Ed classes.

Fall Choral Concert

Featuring Choral Music presented by the Reavis Music Department, in their first performance of the school year, including…chamber chorus,                   intermezzo,  concert choir.  Also, featuring LIVE guests THE PHILADELPHIA COGIC CHOIR. Admission is free.

 

SSC RED Conference Champions!

Congratulations to Coach Jim Young and our Varsity Girls’ Tennis team! They did it again! 
 
Over the weekend of October 8th, the team won the SSC RED Conference Championship.  This is their 7th consecutive SSC RED Championship. 
 
Also, good luck to the team as they compete this weekend in the IHSA Sectional Championships at Eisenhower High School.

8th Grade Placement Exam Changes 2016

For our 8th grade families and future RAMS regarding freshman course placement:
 
Please see the attached document for information regarding changes to our placement process. Reavis WILL NOT be administering a placement test for the Class of 2021 (8th graders). Private school students should contact 708-599-7200, ext. 252, to provide family information for future communication for freshman enrollment and placement.

Cheer Camp

The Reavis Cheerleading Teams will be hosting their annual Two Day Cheer Camp and would love to see you there! Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month we will be “Cheering for a Cure” and helping raise awareness during our pink themed game.  Campers will attend a cheer clinic on Thursday, October 13th to learn the material for Friday night’s Varsity halftime show on October 14th!

RAMS are Responsible

The ambassadors went to Feed My Starving Children in Aurora and packaged food for children in need in Haiti.  Ambassadors worked as a team and were able to package over 30 boxes for hungry children!

Join us SATURDAY OCTOBER 1st for a spectacular show with more +200 booths! Hand crafted merchandise and decor, along with some of your favorite vendors such as Tupperware, Tastefully Simple, Avon and more. Concessions are available all day. The show is hosted by the Reavis Drama Club and all proceeds support their ongoing theatre program.
