Family Game Night

We are hosting a Family Game Night where Reavis families are invited to participate in an event sponsored by Frosh/Soph Class and Parent University. Families are encouraged to join us for an evening of games, face painting, music, photo booth, and family fun! Each person in attendance will receive a free ticket to the football game, as well as a food and drink ticket! We hope this back to school event will kickoff a great 2017-2018 school year!


FCCLA had its second meeting Wednesday, August 23. It was a success! Fruit was cut into beautiful  shapes and cookie cakes were decorated using piping bags and decorating tips. Our next meeting is Wednesday, August 30 from 3:05-4:00. Students competing in fashion meet in room 164, in childcare meet in room one 159a, and in cooking meet in room 162.

Science is COOL!!​

 Reavis students viewed the solar eclipse on Monday, August 21st.  In case you were not aware, there was a partial solar eclipse in Burbank and close to 90% of the sun was blocked from view by the moon’s shadow. The video can also be accessed here.

Open House

We are pleased to invite you to our annual Open House to be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. We are looking forward to personally greeting our Freshman parents in the Auditorium as you arrive for the introductory remarks. Sophomore, Junior and Senior parents are invited to go directly to the student cafeteria for our annual College Fair Night, where representatives from over 30 Colleges and Universities will be in attendance to answer your questions.

Solar Eclipse Assembly

Young Hearts For Life

Bobbo's Fund for Young Hearts is pleased to bring the Young Hearts for Life (YH4L) Cardiac Screening Program to Reavis High School on September 14, 2017. All students whose parents authorize them to be tested will be screened. Please be aware that repeat ECG testing is recommended every two years. YH4L, by working with area high schools and colleges, offers ECG testing to all students free-of-charge. To date, over 150,000 students have been screened and hundreds of young adults have been identified with previously unsuspected, life threatening, cardiac conditions.


Cheerleading:      (All Levels) As indicated on team calendar.
B/G Cross Country:   (All Levels) Report to the Patio area on Wednesday, August 9, at 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Bring running shoes and water.

Schedule Pick Up

New families/transfer students to the district, including the Class of 2021 who complete all parts of the registration will qualify to go through our Express Pre-Paid Rapid Route at schedule pick-up. Fee payments will be accepted online, by mail, or in person and must be paid in full. New families who wish to complete the process in person can do so Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. –3:00 p.m. in the Guidance Office. All new students to the district MUST attend schedule pick-up to receive a schedule and an ID.

Sports Physicals

Sports Physicals – Friday, August 4th from 1:00 to 5:00 in the Nurses office.  Cost is $25.00, will be accepting cash or check.  Checks made payable to Excel Occupational Health.

Summer Hours

Summer Business Hours:
June 5th thru June 9th: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
June 12th thru July 27th: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
July 31st thru August 11th: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm

Reavis will be closed on the following dates: June 16th, 23rd, 30th, July 3rd, 4th (in observance of Independence Day), 14th, 21st and 28th

Reavis High School students will be given preference in registering for  classes with limited enrollment.

STATE CHAMPS! The Reavis Ultimate Frisbee team competed this weekend for the state championship title at the Illinois Youth Ultimate State Tournament at Stuart Sports Complex in Montgomery, IL. They defeated Downers Grove South in the final match with a score of 13-0. Congratulations to Coach Illichman and our Ultimate Reavis Rams!

Princeton University Summer Journalism Program

Congratulations to junior Claudia Kania who was selected for the Princeton University Summer Journalism Program! She is one of only 40 students that were carefully selected and will be flying out to Princeton's campus for an intensive, 10-day all expenses paid seminar on journalism. Classes at the program are taught by reporters and editors from The New York Times, The Washington Post, The New Yorker, CNN, and more!

Senior Awards Night
