Fall Blood Drive

Save a life! Give Blood! Attention all students and staff, Reavis High School will be hosting a Blood Drive on Friday, October 20th from 7:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., IN THE MAIN GYM.  You must be at least 16 or older to donate blood, at least 110 lb., in good health, and have a photo ID. Students will be receiving further information in their PE, Health or Drivers Ed classes.  It’s mandatory that all 16 and 17 year old students donating need a parent permission form.  
 

Fall Choral Concert

Come by the Music Department's Choral Showcase Concert on Wednesday 10/18 in the Band Room!    Admission is FREE and begins at 7pm! All are welcome!   It is sure to be a great show full of vocal music of all different kinds!!  

Reavis Cares

Members of the Reavis High School Varsity Club, Support Staff Union and Maintenance Department joined forces with Stars and Stripes Silk Screening Inc. to help the victims of the recent hurricanes down south. Hundreds of items of new clothing were boxed and shipped last week in an effort to help those in need. 



Parent -Teacher Conferences

Dear Parents/Guardian:
I invite you to attend First Semester Parent-Teacher Conferences at Reavis on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from
3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Faculty members will be present to speak with you regarding your student’s progress.
Please enter the building by the main gym lobby, where report cards will be distributed as well as a map of faculty
locations. Individual appointments are not scheduled, so please be sure to allow adequate time to meet with the faculty.

Reavis Cheerleading Team

The Reavis Cheerleading Program is hosting a Cheerleading Kids’ Camp on Thursday and Friday, September 28th and 29th for any girls or boys grades K-8th. The camp is a two day format where campers will learn their routine on Thursday, and will be invited back to perform during our home football game against Evergreen Park High School! 

Arts & Crafts Show

Join us SATURDAY OCTOBER 7th for the annual Reavis High School Annual Fall Arts & Crafts show with more +200 booths! Come and shop for unique gift ideas among hand crafted merchandise and decor, along with some of your favorite vendors such as Tupperware, Tastefully Simple, Avon and more. Concessions are available all day. The show is hosted by the Reavis Drama Club and all proceeds support their ongoing theatre program.

Rams varsity football will be featured this weekend on CN100 Sports Game of the Week as the Reavis Rams battle the Shepard Astros on Saturday afternoon.

Homecoming!

HOMECOMING DANCE: This year’s homecoming dance will be held in Reavis’ Main Gym on Saturday, September, 16, 2017! Tickets are $15.00 each and will be sold outside the student cafeteria on: 9/11, 9/12, (NOT 9/13), 9/14, and 9/15.  Tickets will also be sold at the door for $20.00 each! The 2017 Homecoming Dance begins at 7:30 p.m. and runs until 10:30 p.m.! All Reavis students are required to bring a valid student ID to the dance.  Anyone bringing a Non-Reavis guest MUST have a completed guest permit the night of the dance!

Family Game Night

We are hosting a Family Game Night where Reavis families are invited to participate in an event sponsored by Frosh/Soph Class and Parent University. Families are encouraged to join us for an evening of games, face painting, music, photo booth, and family fun! Each person in attendance will receive a free ticket to the football game, as well as a food and drink ticket! We hope this back to school event will kickoff a great 2017-2018 school year!

FCCLA

 
FCCLA had its second meeting Wednesday, August 23. It was a success! Fruit was cut into beautiful  shapes and cookie cakes were decorated using piping bags and decorating tips. Our next meeting is Wednesday, August 30 from 3:05-4:00. Students competing in fashion meet in room 164, in childcare meet in room one 159a, and in cooking meet in room 162.

Science is COOL!!​

 Reavis students viewed the solar eclipse on Monday, August 21st.  In case you were not aware, there was a partial solar eclipse in Burbank and close to 90% of the sun was blocked from view by the moon’s shadow. The video can also be accessed here.

Open House

We are pleased to invite you to our annual Open House to be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. We are looking forward to personally greeting our Freshman parents in the Auditorium as you arrive for the introductory remarks. Sophomore, Junior and Senior parents are invited to go directly to the student cafeteria for our annual College Fair Night, where representatives from over 30 Colleges and Universities will be in attendance to answer your questions.

Young Hearts For Life

Bobbo's Fund for Young Hearts is pleased to bring the Young Hearts for Life (YH4L) Cardiac Screening Program to Reavis High School on September 14, 2017. All students whose parents authorize them to be tested will be screened. Please be aware that repeat ECG testing is recommended every two years. YH4L, by working with area high schools and colleges, offers ECG testing to all students free-of-charge. To date, over 150,000 students have been screened and hundreds of young adults have been identified with previously unsuspected, life threatening, cardiac conditions.

FALL SPORTS 2017

ALL STUDENT-ATHLETES MUST HAVE A CURRENT PHYSICAL AND DRUG AND CONCUSSION FORM ON FILE IN THE ATHLETIC OFFICE.  Physical forms are available at www.reavisathletics.com.
