The Reavis Speech Team made school history this weekend!!!
Congratulations to competitors and coaches for winning Reavis’ first ever team level IHSA State Speech Championship!
After advancing 12 events to state and having 8 of those make final round on Saturday, the Rams won the overall team championship with 26 points. The students who accumulated those points (meaning they were all in the final round) were:
Ruby Corral (Sr.): State Runner-Up in Prose Reading and 7th Place in Dramatic Interpretation Laura Galindo (Sr.): 3rd Place in Special Occasion Speaking
Kaylie Gilbert (Sr.): State Runner-Up in Informative Speaking
Leana Mol (Jr.): 3rd Place in Radio Speaking
Raeda Nassan (Jr.): 3rd Place in Oratorical Declamation
Julia Rivera (Jr.): 5th Place in Original Comedy and 7th Place in Humorous Interpretation
Congratulations one last time to Head Coaches Dennis Brumirski & Kate Szczudlo, Assistant Coaches Charlie Homerding, Stacie Scheiner, & Andrew Terleckyj, and auxiliary coaches Grace Campe and Lisa Frustaci.
