Attention sophomores and juniors! The PSAT is recommended for Juniors and Sophomores who are college bound. Juniors who take this exam compete in the National Merit Scholarship Program and utilize the test results for scholarship applications. The PSAT links into about 9,200 scholarships nationwide and students who don’t take the PSAT cut themselves off from potential funding sources. For sophomores, the PSAT is a practice test. The experience of taking these kinds of tests will also help students improve his/her test taking skills, and as a result, test scores have the potential to improve as well. The PSAT/NMSQT is also a great way to help students prepare for the SAT. The test will be held on campus on Wednesday, October 19th. The fee for the test is $15. If you are interested in signing up for the PSAT/NMSQT please download the registration sheet and bring it to the guidance office. If you have any questions please contact Katrina Arnold via email- karnold@d220.org or ext. 212.
