“Variety is the spice of life,” and to be the best involves being different. At Reavis High School, International Club recognizes the importance of diversity and embracing one another’s uniqueness. The International Club exemplifies the idea of independently working together. Recently, the U.S. Division of Homeland Security specifically chose the International Club among all other organizations to represent “the best practices of integration of diversity and its real life impact.” During the forum, Homeland Security invited several delegates from Germany with extraordinary backgrounds to learn all about International Club. Several community members and teachers volunteered to help International Club discuss the importance of integration and diversity. The evening was a success and left a memorable mark with the attendees. International Club hopefully will continue to impress not only Reavis High School but the nation as well.
