The Prairie Trails Public Library District is honored to once again host the “Portrait of a Soldier” exhibit. It is a traveling display of hand-sketched portraits of fallen service men and women from Illinois who have lost their lives since September 11, 2001 in the Global War on Terror. The artist is Cameron Schilling of Mattoon, IL. The portraits are copies of originals that have been given to the families of the fallen soldiers. The display is in the main library from now through November 13th. Our residents and patrons are invited to view this profound exhibit in tribute to our fallen soldiers.
