The 15th Annual Burbank Veterans Day Salute will take place on Monday, November 12 at the Veterans Memorial on State Road and Melvina Avenue. The public, dignitaries, and Reavis Band will gather at the site at 10:45 a.m. in preparation for the 11 a.m. moment of silence and the playing of “Taps” which will honor our country’s fallen heroes. Immediately following, the full program will commence a salute to our men and women currently serving in the military as well as our veterans. The Reavis High School Band members will play the National Anthem in addition to other patriotic music. Frank Morlan, a Burbank resident since 1946, who served in the Army (Field Artillery/Korea) will hoist the flag and another Burbank military resident has been asked to place the wreath. It is a long-standing tradition that Veteran residents of Burbank perform these meaningful responsibilities. Join us as remember and honor those who gave so much.
