On Saturday October 22nd, members of the Reavis community gathered at Westfield Mall to view the$2500.00 prize presentation to Reavis High School for winning their recent Give Back to Schools promotion.
Attention all students and staff, Reavis High School will be hosting a fall blood drive on Tuesday October 25 from 8:00am till 2:00. Why donate? You can receive a free T- Shirt, earn points toward scholarship money for Reavis High School, but most importantly you can SAVE a LIFE!!!! You must be 17 or older (16 with parental permission), at least 110lb, in good health, and have a photo ID.
October 24th - Oct 28th is RED RIBBON WEEK at Reavis.
The Mission of RRW is to bring awareness and attention to the abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, as well as creating a safe and drug-free school and community.
The Next Steps Program is a team training and family resource system, educating teams of parents/ caregivers, consumers and professionals to plan with and advocate for children and youth with disabilities.

Don’t let the Flu catch You! It is recommended by the CDC (Center for Disease Control) that people ages 6 months and older be vaccinated each year against the flu. Stickney Township clinic will be here at Reavis High School on Wednesday October 19th in the Multipurpose Room for any student interested in receiving the Seasonal Flu vaccine. Vaccine information sheets and consent forms will be available in the Nurse’s Office as well below. This vaccine is FREE for all students!
NOTE: There will be NO Zero Hour on Fall Testing Day. Testing will occur in two groups:
Juniors, reclassified juniors and test-taking seniors need to be here at regular time, 7:55am. Morning buses will be running at the regular times to accommodate our juniors, reclassified juniors and test-taking seniors.
Freshmen and sophomore students need to arrive at Reavis at 8:50am.
First-semester Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held at Reavis on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from
3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Faculty members will be present to speak with parents and guardians regarding their student’s progress. Please
enter the building by the main gym lobby, where guidance counselors will be distributing report cards and directing you
to faculty locations. Individual appointments are not scheduled, so please be sure to allow adequate time to meet with
the faculty.
Hannah Judge won the Pink Ribbon Art Contest in her age group at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital.
The contest called for essays or artwork related to Breast Cancer awareness, education or experiences.
Columbus Day celebrates the arrival of Christopher Columbus on the American continent in 1492.
Reavis High School will be closed on Monday, October 10th. in observance of Columbus Day.
