This Wednesday, March 21st, the Reavis community is going to recognize World Down Syndrome Day by wearing the colors of awareness, blue and yellow. The date for World Down Syndrome Day, the 21st day of the 3rd month, was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. Along with wearing blue and yellow, we will have staff and students in the lunchroom accepting donations for Gigi’s Playhouse; a Down Syndrome Achievement Center that provides free, life-changing therapeutic, educational and career training programs for 30,000+ individuals of all ages. Any donations given would greatly help this organization provide more supports to those with Down Syndrome. We look forward to all of our Responsible Rams on Wednesday wearing blue and yellow!!!
