Moises Zarate (Class of 2012) has been awarded First Place in the 2011 First Amendment Student Art Contest sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League, Greenberg Traurig and the Chicago Tribune. Over 500 Art entries on the theme “How do you use one or more of the five freedoms in the First Amendment in your everyday life” were submitted and his artwork was chosen by a distinguished panel of judges for this award. As a first place winner, Moises will be receiving a scholarship check at the dinner in the amount of $1000. He submitted his work with the help of Social Studies teacher Ms. Katie Cunningham.
