Reavis Family:
After a very strong start to the school year and a successful homecoming week, the Rams settle into the fall semester and welcome October. Our Rams Are Responsible Culture of Care Month is upon us, and there are many activities planned for the month. The purpose of our Culture of Care month is to let all students know they are seen, accepted, safe, and cared for within the walls of Reavis High School. Students will be provided with diversified experiences to support social emotional health. We kicked off the month with“Start with Hello”, The Sandy Hook Promise. Faculty and staff greeted students with Hello, along with hosting a freshman/sophomore multimedia presentation in the Auditorium called "Fix It". Students should regularly check their emails for the calendar of events containing more information.
As part of our school-community partnership, we are also preparing for parent teacher conferences on Tuesday, October 15, from 3-7:30pm. Parent teacher conferences provides families an opportunity to speak with teachers, counselors, deans, and our behavioral health team about student concerns and celebrations. Families will have the opportunity to gain assistance from staff to download the PowerSchool app that allows you to access grades, attendance, and other important information. We also will host a college fair that same evening in our multi-purpose room from 6-7pm.
Finally, our students continue to participate in after-school sports and activities. It is important that students utilize our Ram period to complete homework, seek assistance from a teacher, or retake a test to balance the requirements of school and extracurriculars. Ram period runs every day from 2:34-3:05pm. It is a great support for all students.
Please look around our new website and explore! There is much information about our school, faculty & staff, and excellent services. We appreciate your involvement and look forward to seeing you on campus.
Better Together,
Principal Schultz
