Dear District 220 Families:
We are excited to welcome all families to the start of what we anticipate to be a very successful school year. The fall season is upon us and that means there are plenty of opportunities for students and families to get involved. It is extremely rewarding to serve the Burbank/Stickney communities as your principal.
Our teachers and staff are committed to building positive relationships with our students and families. We strive to make connections with all students because we know the impact it plays on learning. We believe we all have a collective responsibility towards student success, and you are a member of this important team.
We thank you for your cooperation and patience as we implement a new drop-off and pick-up traffic pattern to better support student and staff safety. We highly recommend leaving 15 minutes earlier than your usual departure time to ensure your student is first period at 7:55am.
Our RAM Advisory Period occurs from 9:45-10:15am between second and third periods. This time is reserved for student interventions and enrichments. Students received training in their RAM Advisory Period, received a tutorial video, and written directions via their Gmail accounts to assist with sign-up. Students who have questions pertaining to the RAM Advisory Period can ask their teachers, counselors, or email SOS@d220.org.
Homecoming week is September 19-24. This is a great time for students to get involved. I look forward to meeting this year at one of our many events.
Rams WILL, Still!
Principal Schultz
