Dear Reavis Students/Families:
A new year brings a fresh start and provides time to reflect on our school year. We feel a great responsibility to revisit our core goals and continue the important work necessary for our freshmen to be on track and for our senior class to graduate on time. For those important milestones to occur, we must consistently work for all students to secure proficiency in the standards deemed most important to prepare them for future success.
We respectfully ask our families to continue to join us in those efforts from January-June:
Start on time. Students are strongly encouraged to arrive 15-20 minutes early to school to ensure on-time arrival to class. Students should consolidate what they bring to school to move quickly through the security doors, report to their lockers if necessary, and move purposefully through the hallways to arrive at class prior to the bell.
Communicate when needed. We encourage students and parents to contact the school whenever there is a need. We are here to partner with you on attendance, behaviors, and academic success. We have resources available to work with each individual student.
Share your feedback. I feel extremely lucky to work at Reavis with your children. If you need to reach me for any reason, do not hesitate. My responsibility to you includes listening and finding solutions that are reasonable and positive, as well as supporting your family through the high school experience. Our faculty and staff are here to clarify all opportunities a high school can offer to students.
Reavis will mindfully remain visible and accessible to students and families as we monitor and enhance our instructional practices for today’s students, academically and behaviorally. We will work to connect with every student. Ultimately, we are ready to finish this year strong!
Each grade level has a unique set of challenges and rewards built into the school year. It goes fast. Capitalize on the moment and create memories that when this school year ends, you can say, I did everything I could to bolster my position for success. Your pathway is important. Reavis will be here to guide you on your journey.
Happy New Year, Rams,
Principal Schultz
