Dear Reavis Families:
We are continuing with our 100% Remote Learning Model this September. Although we would like to be back in school, we are finding our way in a virtual world. Teachers have received professional development related to technology to prepare lessons for engaging students online. We have invested in Zoom educational accounts that allow students and staff to have options for interaction and a platform to provide feedback. Staff members and students who accepted the invitation from Zoom now have an account in our Zoom domain (reavisd220.org). If they are not using their own reavisd220.org account, they will be denied access. We believe this step will support a less distracting online experience.
Parents and students can request an individualized intervention or enrichment session with their teacher. Please feel free to contact teachers if your student would be interested. Also, students can sign up for tutoring sessions in our resource center: https://www.reavisd220.org/resource-center
We paid our respect to the civilian lives we lost, honored the first responders who sacrificed their lives, and reflected on our ongoing pursuit for peace around the world on September 11th, the National Day of Service and Remembrance. We must continue to unite and provide the very best to each other, our community, and the students of District 220. Breathe in courage for the days ahead, exhale compassion for the thousands of brave Americans we will always remember, and demonstrate humanity for the survivors who walk amongst us seeking peace.
