All Reavis students are required to complete a summer reading project. The assignments are separated by grade and or course. Below is all of the information needed to complete the summer reading assignments.
Freshmen:
Everyone is reading Breathing Underwater. Honors students are also reading To Kill a Mockingbird. Students should complete one project for each book from the list of 12 project options. Below is 1) a Power Point outlining the 9th grade requirements and 2) the list of 12 project options that students can complete. Projects are due on the first full day of school: Wednesday, August 15th.

Sophomores:
Everyone is reading Looking for Alaska. Honors students are also reading The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. They should be prepared to take a test over this material when they return to school in the fall. Below is an optional study guide that students can complete in order to better prepare them for their test. All students must also read one book of their choice. Students should then complete one project from the list of 12 project options to demonstrate their understanding of their free-choice reading selection. Below is 1) the optional study guide for the assigned reading 2) a Power Point outlining the 10th grade requirements and 3) the list of 12 project options that students can complete for the independent reading portion of summer reading. Projects are due on the first full day of school: Wednesday, August 15th.
